Academic Project Fund (APF)

The Academic Project Fund (APF) supports University of Ottawa graduate students presenting their research at a Conference. This fund covers accommodation and meals while participating in a conference up to a maximum of $400. One APF application is permitted for Master’s-level students, and two applications are for doctoral-level students.

Note that applicants must secure approval and funding from their thesis supervisors and/or departments to be eligible for this fund.

Incomplete applications are not accepted and will not be processed
Only conferences 250 km away from the uOttawa main campus are eligble.

On-Campus Conference Fund (OCCF)

The On-Campus Conference Fund (OCCF) provides essential financial support for graduate students seeking to organize a conference on campus. Offering grants of up to $500, this fund encourages collaboration among students, whether they are working with or without their departmental associations. To apply, a designated “Main Applicant” from the organizing committee must submit an OCCF application, accompanied by the required documentation and endorsements from four additional graduate students. Once approved, the funds are deposited directly into the Main Applicant’s bank account, facilitating the successful execution of their academic initiatives.
