GSAÉD invites all graduate students who wish to get involved with the student community to submit their candidacy for the positions of Directors Without Portfolios (4 positions), Director General of Elections (1 position), and Chair (1 position). Students at uOttawa recently saw their tuition fees increased for the ninth consecutive year. Governments claim that there simply isn’t enough money to fund post-secondary education adequately, while they cut the taxes of large corporations and the super wealthy. Students continue to be subject to racism, homophobia, transphobia, ableism, sexism, and other forms of discrimination. Colonialism continues to oppress Indigenous peoples and destroy their land.

The University of Ottawa has decided to end the uOttawa-Carleton shuttle service at the end of the 2013-2014 school year.
