2014 ACTIVIST ASSEMBLY

Students at uOttawa recently saw their tuition fees increased for the ninth consecutive year. Governments claim that there simply isn’t enough money to fund post-secondary education adequately, while they cut the taxes of large corporations and the super wealthy. Students continue to be subject to racism, homophobia, transphobia, ableism, sexism, and other forms of discrimination. Colonialism continues to oppress Indigenous peoples and destroy their land.

Think it’s time to make real change at the University of Ottawa and in our community?
