The GSAÉD demands a retraction to any insinuation that a potential union drive by Cafe Nostalgica staff had any implication in the decision to terminate a managerial position.
If Cafe Nostalgica staff wish to start a union drive, then this article is the first the GSAÉD has heard of it. However, GSAÉD supports workers rights to organize and would welcome a unionization process with open arms.

November 11, 2013, OTTAWA – The University of Ottawa has recently violated the well-established rules and practices regarding the nomination of student representatives at the Senate Appeals Committee. In October, the University informed the Student Federation of the University of Ottawa (SFUO) that it appointed an undergraduate student representative chosen by the Faculty of Law administration to the Senate Appeals Committee rather than appointing the student union’s chosen candidate. In November, the University informed the Graduate Student Association (GSAÉD) of its intention to consider the GSAÉD’s chosen candidate along with two other students chosen by the University at a meeting …

The theme is Halloween — so walk on the wild side! And come costumed.
Step 1 – 6:00 pm : meet for pre-drinks at Café Nostalgica
Step 2 – 8:00 pm : Walk on the Wild Side at the Canadian Museum of Nature.
Live bands—Ottawa-based Hilotrons and headliners Plants and Animals —rock the fourth floor, while DJ T-Dot spins in the Queens’ Lantern.
On the fourth floor, CPAWS brings you fun programming, including a photo booth where you can grab a souvenir picture of you and your friends in your nature-inspired costumes.
The coverage period begins September 1st. However, claims can only be submitted as of the end of October.
Please keep all your receipts, and wait to submit a claim until then.
